Closing Position

Before moving on, let’s close our current open position at the current market price.

From Open Positions window: 

We can do this by either right-clicking on the position in the Open Positions window and selecting Close.

Directly off the chart:

When your mouse hovers over an open position, the cursor changes to a hand, and some information about that position displays. 

Step 1

On the chart, right-click on the red market order label.

 
Step 2

Select Close Position.

Step 3

You will be asked to specify the amount of lots you would like to close. Since we only opened one mini-lot, let’s confirm and click Close Position at Range: 0 (at the market). Then click OK to confirm.

We have successfully closed our original position, so neither the market order nor the stop and limit should show up on the chart.
